A Bit About Personal Training

Many automatically equate personal training with gyms full of hard-core strength trainers and body builders. This is only part of the picture. More and more people, novice and veteran exercisers alike are working with personal trainers because they offer a practical means of getting and staying healthy.  So then the big question becomes; why hire a personal trainer? 

Above all, I believe that the number one reason to hire a Personal Trainer is for knowledge.  And it would be far beyond the scope of this single page to teach you everything there is to know about weight training!  Here's my point:  Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote a book about weight training called, "The Encyclopaedia of Modern Bodybuilding" and its 736 pages long with 850 photographs! Former Mr. Universe Bill Pearl also wrote a hefty volume on the subject with 638 pages called, "Keys to the Inner Universe." Pearl’s book is so detailed, it has 151 exercises for the biceps alone! Getting your body in shape takes time, dedication and knowledge. That's where my experience comes in. My job is to pass on the knowledge I've obtained over the last 10 years to allow you to reach your goals as quickly as possible.

My clients have seen such great results for a number of reasons. For one, I make sure all of my clients go through a thorough consultation where I find out all of my client's goals, limitations, lifestyle habits, injuries, previous training history and what kind of help they are looking for from me. From there, I build a "training foundation".

Just like building a house requires specific planning and organization, so does achieving goals. Too many people merely show up to a gym, do a fitness class or apply some strength training, but they have no specific path to follow and no systematic approach. And this is why most people fail to achieve their goals! I also use training methods that are cutting edge and are proven to work. I use equipment uncommon to most gyms and other Personal Trainers, and can show you exercises you have never seen or tried before!

You can enjoy the option of training one-on-one, with a partner or small group, or even by joining a specialty group class such as Boot Camp

My training methods are as unique as some of the equipment that I use! I incorporate a variety of training tools and a variety of training methods with my clients to get the maximum results in the shortest amount of time!
